Watch the stage adaptation of 2017 Oscar-winning writer of Manchester by the Sea’s Kenneth Lonergan’s play, which explores the themes of emotions and principles, and the result of a conflict between them.
Why Watch Lobby Hero
Having premiered Off-Broadway in 2001, Helen Hayes Theatre brings to Broadway the revival of Lobby Hero. This complex story probes the age-old mind versus heart debate, and if we can discover who we truly are when put under pressure. Helmed by 2015 Obie Award for Best Direction winner Trip Cullman and a star-studded cast, including Chris Evans who makes his Broadway debut, this is one play you just can’t miss!
The play is set in the lobby of a Manhattan apartment building, a young security guard with big ambitions clashes with his stern boss, an overbearing cop, and his intense rookie partner. But it's much more than just a waiting area for four New Yorkers involved in a murder investigation. The story is a testing ground for what happens when emotions and principles come into conflict.
