Your tour starts in the morning when the cool morning sun shines on the famous red-tiled roofs of Venice. Your first stop will be at the Rialto Bridge, one of the earliest bridges in Venice and known for its regal marble architecture. You can walk through the market with your guide explaining the intricacies of Venetian Cuisine including the array of fish used in the cooking. Your trip will continue through the alleyways and cobblestone streets many of which have been unchanged for centuries. You will see the home of celebrated explorer Marco Polo and visit the San Giovanni Gristosomo to see the paintings of Venetian masters Bellini and Sebastian del Piombo. The walking tour is designed to give you a glimpse into the everyday life of Venice as well as the popular attractions and landmarks. You will take a break from all the walking and go on a gondola ride with your group. No trip to Venice is complete without a gondola ride, the most iconic visual of Venice. After the gondola ride, you will take a break for lunch. Your guide will leave you to explore on your own and meet you back at St. Mark’s Square for the next part of the tour. By public transport
Campo San Giacomo di Rialto is located just to the west of the Rialto Bridge, towards the Rialto Market. The closest vaporetto stop is the “Rialto Mercato” stop. Talk a left and walk towards Calle Gallion. On reaching the street, turn left and reach the Calle Orsetti where you should take a right and head on to Ruga Bella. Now keep walking on Ruga Bella and cross a bridge till you reach the campus of San Giacomo dell’ Orio where you will find the Central Fountain and an assistant carrying the signboard ‘Walks of Italy’.
