The Parisian Woman

4.7

Written by renowned playwright Beau Willimon, famous for his spine-chilling series ‘House of Cards’, The Parisian Woman is a brilliant treat for those who love a great dose of satire and wit. With a Broadway from Academy Award nominee Uma Thurman, and direction by celebrated Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon, follow the story of socialite Chloe as she comes to terms with politics, her personal life, and an uncertain future.

Why Watch The Parisian Woman

After having gone through several spectacular rewrites, The Parisian Woman is back on the stage, sharper than ever. The play focuses on a scenario that unfolds after the groundbreaking 2016 elections. While the original story remains untouched, the brand new setting and milieu gives viewers a chance to address this crucial time via Chloe’s lens. Starring Uma Thurman and Josh Lucas, the play brings out scathing revelations that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Story

Set in Washington DC, the play portrays the life of the charming socialite, Chloe, who arrives at a pivotal moment in her personal and social life, just as the nation enters its own crucial state during the elections. The play moves on to reveal dark, unpredictable plot twists. As dramatic events collide, both Chloe’s life, as well as the nation’s, experience quite the shake up. Find out what ensues when secrets come out in this perfect mix of dark humor and drama.

Critics Reviews

“Willimon’s script is both lighthearted and devious, which makes it all the more chilling. The action focuses on the swath Chloe cuts through the obstacles that could thwart her husband’s nomination. She’s intelligent, savvy, and bored.”

The show was nothing great, Uma thurman did a decent job, but there was no story to captivate me. It was worth a watch once, I guess. The prices were pretty cheap thanks to your website, so thats a silver lining.

I used to follow the House of Cards and I figured the Parisian Woman will be something on those lines, so I decided to watch it with a couple of friends. Must say, the storyline and dialogue delivery is impressive! We fan-girled real hard for Uma Thurman who totally slayed it on stage. What an experience!
