Latin History for Morons
Best known for his impeccable solo performances in Ghetto Town (2010) and Freak (1998), Emmy award winner John Leguizamo is back with another incredible performance. A hilarious one-man show, Latin History For Morons is about uncovering the truth and making amends with the past.
Why Watch Latin History for Morons
For Morons came into being after Leguizamon’s son (just like him) faced racial discrimination amongst his friends. An Off-broadway, limited-time run, the play has fetched many admirers. John’s power-packed performance addresses numerous facts about Latin heritage, its part in the American Revolution, and much more. With a surprisingly deep and emotional twist, Leguizamo brings to light centuries of important history.
After discovering that his son’s American syllabus was blissfully devoid of the rich Latino history, John Leguizamon was forced to set out on a hunt for a Latin American historical figure for a school project. However, within this one-man journey, he brings out a delightful side of the 3,000 year-old Latin American history in 95 raucously hilarious minutes.
