Where do we even start?
Deep Purple are a rock band based out of Hertford, England. They are considered the pioneers of Heavy Metal and modern Hard Rock, but classifying them under one genre would be a massive injustice. Their music covers a wide array of styles ranging from Hard Rock to Blues Rock to even Psychedelic Rock!
They were awarded the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards and were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. A number of legendary rock and metal bands like Metallica, Judas Priest, Queen, Aerosmith, Motorhead have drawn inspiration from their work.
The band currently consists of Ian Gillan, Don Airey, Roger Glover, Steve Morse and Ian Paice.
Some of their most popular albums are “Machine Head”, “Deep Purple”, “Deep Purple in Rock” and “Perfect Strangers” with their most recent one being “Infinite”.
