Jean-Yves Thibaudet, a French pianist, started playing at the early age of five. He has since performed across the world and is regarded as one of today's finest pianist. He has gained acclaim not only in the world of music but also in the world of fashion, film and philanthropy. With over three decades of experience, he has played a range of solo, chamber and orchestral performances- from Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saens to Qigang Chen and James McMillan.
Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester
Founded in 1986 by Claudio Abbado, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester is a youth orchestra based in Vienna, Austria. With more than a hundred musicians as members, the orchestra has a huge structure. Lead by world-renowned opera conductor, orchestral director and musical author, Ingo Metzmacher, they now join Jean-Yves Thibaudet in his performance at the magnificent Royal Concertgebouw.
