Britten’s ‘Four Sea Interludes’
The Four Sea Interludes are a part of Benjamin Britten’s breakthrough operatic masterpiece- Peter Grimes. An ode to the brave fishermen, the merciless winds and the blue skies, it is a striking portrait of the rugged coast of Eastern England.
Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony
Beethoven composed his Symphony No. 7 between 1811 and 1812 while recuperating in the Bohemian spa town of Teplice. Remarked as one of his finest compositions upon its premiere, it is dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries, an Austrian nobleman, banker and patron of the arts.
