Musician’s Bio: Isabelle Faust
A German violinist, Isabelle is a worldwide star in music. She began learning the stringed instrument when she was 5 years old. She performed as a guest soloist with most major orchestras around the world and has recorded works of the greatest violin composers to have lived.
Over her career, Isabelle Faust has received many accolades and laurels. She placed first in the Leopold Mozart International Violin Competition, Premio Quadrivio Competition, and the Paganini Competition. She has won 2 Diapason d’Or awards, in 2012 and 2012 respectively and has also won the Gramophone Award for the Best Chamber Recording of Beethoven’s Violin Sonatas.

Over the course of an hour, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra will perform two pieces of classical music. The highlight of the show is Isabelle Faust, a leading violin virtuoso, and composer. Her remarkable talents have resulted in her adding to Beethoven’s Violin Concerto - by arranging a piano cadenza for the violin.
