Arthur and Lucas Jussen
“Two souls, one mind”, that’s how Arthur and Lucas Jussen are often described. These young Dutch brothers are internationally acclaimed classical pianists. They have performed with nearly all the Dutch orchestras and the most noted international orchestras. Also having worked with several renowned musicians and conductors across the world, they are recognised as two of the brightest young talents in the world of music. Whether they perform as a duo or soloists, these prize-winning musicians are praised by all- audiences, critics and the press.
A scenic ‘cantata’ composed by Carl Orff in 1935 and 1936, ‘Carmina Burana’ is based on 24 poems from the medieval collection of 254 poems ‘Carmina Burana’. Orff’s Carmina Burana is probably the most frequently performed choral work of the 21st Century. Having inspired countless other artists to produce their own versions, Orff’s interpretation covers a wide range of topics: the fickle nature of wealth and fortune, the joy of Spring, the fleeting nature of life and the pleasures and perils of drinking, gluttony, gambling and lust.
