Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring
Inspired by Russian culture, The Rite of Spring is a ballet and orchestral concert work by Igor Stravinsky. Divided into two parts, it premiered in Paris’ Theatre des Champs-Elyysees in 1913 and is considered one of the first example of Modernism in music.
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5
Written between 1804-1808, Symphony No. 5 by Ludwig van Beethoven is one of classical music’s best-known compositions. First performed in Vienna’s Theatre an der Wien in 1908, it is one of the most frequently played symphonies of all time.
