Catch four different women, as they attempt to go out in search of hope and love! Can the bickering group put aside their differences when they break free of their sorrows in a breathtakingly beautiful rented Italian castle?

Why Watch An Enchanted April

Based on the classic book, titled The Enchanted April, the play follows the story of 4 women who are looking to leave their boring city. Written by Elizabeth von Armin, it is her most popular work and has been adapted into two films, a series, a musical, and a play. Alice Jankell brings the production to life at Broadway. With a talented cast at the helm, she ensures that the production is as fresh as it was when the book was released in 1920. Jankell brilliantly captures the bland and dreary life in London, contrasting it with the brighter and more lively Italy. Music Director Richard Danley is in charge of the score, which is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the production. He wonderfully captures the mood and setting with his tunes, and you are sure to feel reeled into the performance.

The Story

In the city of London in February 1922, the aftermaths of the First World War can be seen. Four women, tired of life in the city, are desperate to escape from their memories of the World War. The ladies form an unlikely group, and coming from different backgrounds, tensions are high initially. They go on to rent a villa in Italy for one month. In this short period, can the women find peace and happiness? Will their hearts and lives be transformed in a single short Enchanted April in this magical place?
