    Why Watch Scotland, PA

Based on the 2001 film of the same name, directed by William Morrissette, Scotland, PA is considered to be a modernized version of Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The story is set in 1975 in the small town of Scotland, Pennsylvania inside a fast-food restaurant. The musical features a team of award-winning choreographers, writers and musicians and is guaranteed to awe audiences from across the world at Broadway. Michael Mitnick, who has received acclaim for plays such as “The Siegel” and “Mysterious Circumstances” is in charge of the writing. The music and lyrics are by Adam Gwon, of “Ordinary Days” fame, and he is joined by music director Vadim Fletcher.

The dark comedy has been in development since 2014 at Roundabout Underground and is all set to dazzle at the Broadway stage. Mitnick shifts the tale of murderous ambition to America for a thrilling new musical!
