Aliens Love Underpants
Relish an entertaining and comical journey into the bizarre world of aliens whose sole purpose is to steal underpants from Earth! Aliens Love Underpants is a fitting stage adaptation to Claire Freedman’s immensely popular children’s bestseller.
Why Watch Aliens Love Underpants
A savoury blend of impressive special effects, heated action sequences, comical scenes that mostly revolves around underpants, and an incredible backing score, Aliens Love Underpants is a treat for the entire family. The absurdity of the characters, dialogue, and the plot itself makes for an hour of children’s TV morphed into an upbeat theatre act. The singing, dancing, puppets, and an uncanny number of pants make this show a memorable introduction to comedy and theatre for any kid. The set design mirrors the silliness and lightheartedness of the play with bright, comic-book style colours and projections. Perhaps what really makes Aliens Love Underpants such a beloved children’s show is the seamless extent to which it involves its young audience in the play. Packed with magic, mischief, and a whole lot of underpants, this show is sure to steal the hearts of kids and parents alike at the Troubadour White City Theatre this autumn!
In Claire Freedman’s universe, aliens love underpants of all sizes, shapes, and colours. Unfortunately, there are no underpants in space, and they are compelled to look to planet Earth for their outlandish needs. Their spaceships have radars that burst into activity as soon as underpants are spotted on a washing line, and they land in the gardens of unsuspecting house owners in an attempt to steal underpants. In fact, they are so enraptured by the concept of underpants that they wear them on their heads and feet and participate in upside down alien underpants races. Yet, they run away just as swiftly as they arrived the moment they see an unfamiliar human face.
