The play, Something Clean, features the talented Kathryn Erbe as the lead, Charlotte. Erbe is famous for her role in ‘Law & Order’ as Detective Alexandra Eames. She has also starred as Shirley Bellinger in ‘Oz’, the critically acclaimed HBO series. She has also made appearances in shows such as The Sinner, Pose, Homicide: Life of the Street, Naked City, Conviction, How To Get Away With Murder, Blue Bloods, Elementary and The Gifted.

Doug is played by Daniel Jenkins, a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominee. He has featured in several Broadway productions such as Billy Elliot, Wrong Mountain, Oslo, Mary Poppins, Big River, and Angels in America. Jenkins has also appeared in critically acclaimed shows such as The Blacklist, Elementary, Bull, Veep, and Orange is the New Black.

Selina Fillinger, the playwright, is well known for her work Faceless for which she was nominated for the Joseph Jeff Award. Her other notable works include The Armor Plays: Cinched and Strapped.

The Story

Charlotte is a mother and a wife who is ready to try absolutely anything to bring her family back together- mop the dirty floors, wash the soiled dishes, change stained sheets or even change the unforgettable past. Something Clean is an all new drama by Selina Fillinger that touches upon the shocking aftermath of a sex crime: the guilt, the sorrow, the pain, and the numerous ways in which people try to cope with the unimaginable. This remarkable play was originally developed and also commissioned through the Freshness Initiative by the Sideshow Theatre Company.
