Why Watch Super Hero
Superhero is based on a book written by three-time Academy Award winner John Logan, Superhero promises to be more than just saving the world. A well-known screenwriter, Logan had adapted screenplays for everything from action films such as Gladiator to historical dramas such as Hugo. The music and lyrics are by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt. The ensemble includes several well-known names in theatre such as Kate Baldwin and Bryce Pinkham.
The overall theme of the musical is that the general notion of superheroes is different from reality. Logan and Kitt have created this engrossing drama that promises to delve into the human psyche, and highlights the traits that make each of us superheroes.
A fractured family, on the verge of breaking apart, is going through a difficult time. It seems as if things are never going to get better. A mysterious stranger lives in apartment 4-B, silently observing the events in action. Is it possible for the situation with the family to aggravate? Are they destined for the inevitable doom that is nearing, or will an unexpected hero show up to save the day?
