Important Information

• Teide Cable Car is located within a protected national park. Make sure to follow basic rules out of respect for the natural environment: do not litter or take rocks, plants, or animals. It is prohibited to make fire, loud noises, or to camp

• People with heart problems, pregnant women, and children under 5 are not allowed to ascend by cable car due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health. Consult your doctor before planning your visit or booking your Mount Teide Cable Car tickets

• People with any physical disability or motor impairment are not permitted to make the ascent by cable car, because of the potential risks if the vehicle has to be evacuated

• Bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths

• There are public toilets at both the base station and the upper station, which remain open during the opening hours of the facilities

• As a conservation measure, parking areas have been limited to a small size, and they cannot be extended. If you finally decide to arrive by car, please do so after 1:00 PM

• Note: If the cable car cannot operate on the day of your visit, we will send you a notification by e-mail and/or text at approx. 8.30 AM. Please bear in mind, however, that if you have booked your Teide Cable Car tickets for an early-morning session, it's likely that you're already on your way when you receive our notification

Timings

• Daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

• The last ascent is at 2:00 PM

• The last descent is at 2:50 PM

Dress Code

• Be prepared for extremes in weather, both heat as well as cold, depending on the time of year in which you use your Tenerife cable car tickets

• Wear warm clothing and proper footwear

• Protect yourself from sunstroke

• Due to the elevated luminosity, wear sunglasses

• Take plenty of water on hikes
