What to Expect While Skydiving On the Gold Coast
When you arrive for tandem skydiving at either of the Gold Coast dropzones, you will first be introduced to the team. Before you head out for your skydiving session, you’ll first go through a fitness evaluation test and sign some paperwork.
Post this, you’ll be taken through a training program. This also includes all the necessary safety protocols to follow and body movements to adapt.
You will then be fitted into your skydiving gear and your tandem skydiving instructor will lead you to the airplane. You will be attached to your instructor when you reach 15,000 ft. Before you take the leap, they will ensure that your harness is fully secured and all other technical aspects are taken care of.
Once you reach the top, your skydiving instructor will inform you to jump out of the plane. You’ll freefall at a speed of about 200 km/h for about a minute. So, if you plan to skydive during the cold season, carry a jacket and gloves.
