User Reviews for Lake Como and Bellagio Guided Day Trip with Coach Transfers from MilanBrowse Product
This tour was better then expected. I'm so glad we did it. Plus sides, we covered so much ground, I didn't feel rushed at all, Lake Como was beautiful, the tour guide Fedra was the best tour guide we've ever had. She was funny, full of knowledge and easy to understand. The only downside was the coach was a little squishy/small but that's easily forgivable. I highly recommend!
spent a full day travelling by bus to Lake Como, then ferry ride to Bellagio, spent a few hours walking around Bellagio looking at the sights, the ferry ride across Lake Como was fantastic with the tour guide explaing all the sights along the way
We went on our own from Milano Centrale, took the train to Varenna-Esquina (about an hour ride, €6.70). Got ferry tickets to Bellagio (20 minute ride, €4.10) then purchased tickets for the fast speed ferry to Como (about an hour, €14.80). You can always reverse it & go Como-Bellagio-Varenna. Either way works out fine, no need for a tour guide. It's really nice just to walk around the towns, have lunch, cocktails or a gelato. The shops are adorable and the scenery is amazing.
We were on a tour with one of the largest companies in Milan "Zani Viaggi". They are very well organised - right from the hotel pick-up, Quality of the bus, guide and finally the boat ride to the beautiful town
This is another must do when visiting Milan. We got the train from Milan straight to Como. Got the ferry which go!s 3/4 around lake Como. Beautiful scenery and the Villas where amazing. We spent 6 hours on the lake which was a pleasure, can have lunch and drinks. The ferry returns to Como and then we returned to Milan about a 1 hour ride, well worth a visit when in Milan
Booking the train goeuro.com was easy. From Milan to Como, a 7 minute walk into the township of Como and then we took the fast ferry to Belargio. Booking the train back was also easy. We only did a day trip. Next time I will spend 2-3 days at Como and have a good look around. I wouldn't spend more time in Milan, not into expensive shopping, although the Duamo was impressive, the canal district was very disappointing after Amsterdam and Venice.
It is an amazing place which you should definitely visit if you are in the area. We did it as a day trip from Milan by train. It offers a beautiful scenery with the mountains surrounding the lake and lovely architecture, great food and wine. It is very easy to travel between the small towns by ferry across the lake and the connection by train to Milan is very convenient. A must do.
