St. Mark's Basilica Skip-the-Line Guided Tour

It was an easy process to meet our group and then be assigned our guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. It was a great tour that I would recommend to others.

Our guide was fantastic. So good that we signed up with the Doges tour with her. The experience was way beyond our expectations. My only regret is that we cannot remember our guide's name.

first of all we were not told we had to enter the little tour shop to get our headsets and get our tickets! could make it clearer on the email. skip the que wasn't skip the que we still had to que. Allthough the lady new her stuff it was so rushed! and if your going to have an English guide that's not English slow down on the speaking so we can understand you!

Super gorgeous place, and a wonderful, knoweldgable tour guide! Much of the tour takes place outside in the square, which is something to note if the weather is terrible and you were hoping to escape the rain with an indoor tour. The time spent in the Basilica is actually quite short-- felt a little rushed through, would have liked to spend more time there.

The guide was very informative, however on the ticket you stated to be 15 minutes before, however we still kept waiting for more people and the experience in church was less that 45 mins with the guide. When I asked one of the support team a young lady with long brown hair she was waiting to conduct a tour and I believe she did my check-in, she told me in a very rude way can't you see that there are other people like you waiting. She didn't apologize, I would have appreciated I'm really sorry that you are waiting but instead she looked at me like why are you asking and she kept on talking to her colleague like it is something normal to keep people waiting. I want to make it clear the lady was not the guide but one of the support team of Venice Tours. A simple explanation or apology why we are waiting would have been enough instead she flipped her eyes and continued to chat with her colleague. She should do a customer care course and learn to smile she is still so young to be frustrated already with clients

Leider konnte man sich die untere Ebene des Markusdoms nicht lange anschauen, wir sind fast durchgerannt. Insgesamt ist das Ticket zu teuer für das, was geboten wird.

The guide seemed very uninterested in us and the venue. His personal interest in us was missing. No motivation to make this a great experience. I assume that tourists are not well received in Venice. Perhaps there are just too many for the locals to be happy to receive them.

Einige Audioguides funktionierten nicht und der Start verzögerte sich, da sich die Reiseleiterin darum kümmern musste. Warum bekommen nicht alle Teilnehmer einen Sticker ans Revers (farbig nach Sprache und Slot?), damit die Führerin weiß, wer zu ihrer Gruppe gehört und sie dann auch die Zusatztickets in der korrekten Anzahl kaufen kann bzw. weiß, wer alles zu ihrer Gruppe gehört. Gleichzeitiger Zeitpunkt des Start aller Sprachgruppen verursachte lange Schlangen und Chaos. Geräte sind von minderer Qualität (Kopfhörer funktionierten nicht). Während musste die Reiseleiterin Tickets kaufen - das könnte bereits vorab geregelt werden (Sammel QR code?), es fehlte ein Laserpointer, da im Gedränge häufig nicht klar war, über welches Detail gesprochen wurde. Die Gruppe war zu groß. Die Summe dieser Mängel beeinträchtigte das Erlebnis. Uns ist klar, dass der Massentourismus das Problem ist, aber es ist bei der Orga noch sehr viel Luft nach oben.

Excellent guide! She gave us so much information about the Basilica. We even went to the terrace even though it wasn't included in the ticket.

The guide Elena is a professional, very nice, giving all information with smile on her face, open and kind. Do not hesitate to ask for her guidance if possible. She speaks perfect English and the details given by her as daughter of Venice were authentic and very interesting.She succeded in making our visit to San Marco Basilica unique, awsome.

Tour started 15 minutes late, which is fairly significant on a 45 minute tour, especially when we had to walk 5+ minutes to St. Marks from the starting point. For being more than 3x the price of admission without a guide, I don't feel the guide provided sufficent value at the price charged.

Visita della Basilica capitata ESATTAMENTE durante il momento di picco di acqua alta. Fila lunghissima durata 56 minuti per raggiungere solo l'ingresso. Ma la spiegazione della nostra guida Michele ha riempito ogni minuto di attesa, rendendola più che gradevole e costruttiva, dandoci nozioni sulla Serenissima inaspettate e graditissime. Bravo Michele!

I would say that the experience is overall positive. The guide very kind, professional and knowledgeable, but perhaps the conducting a bit scholastic. I would enrich it with anecdotes and historical references, which were actually there, but in my opinion they need to be deepened supra especially to never have breaks. Then a logistical note to improve: the duration should be an actual hour, but actually lost about ten minutes in the silent drive from the meeting point to the destination.

The guide was lovely lady, very insightful and caring. Her accent was a little difficult to understand but she did try her best .

- Italian English is often difficult to understand, but when spoken very quickly, almost consistently unintelligible. - The tour guide could have guessed / known that a guest with a walking aid would not be able to manage the stairs to/from the tower and should have asked for the audio device back before this end of the tour. He went ahead before we could assess the situation; we waited outside until we found him again after some time to return the devices.

The guide was evidently knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The building is absolutely gorgeous! As a bible reader, it was incredibly interesting.

We enjoyed our English guide. With the instructions in the app qe found the meeting point without problems. The guide was there before the scheduled time. The radios worked fine all the time. The guide provided rich information about the St Marks Basilica and we liked it very much. We would do it again

Our guide was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about everything and knew details about St Marks that made the trip enjoyable. I would highly recommend to everyone coming to Venice.
