Simply WOW! What a lovely performance by Clive Owen and the entire cast! Everything beginning from the execution to dialogue delivery was fantastic in its own way. This was my first broadway show and I was absolutely stunned. This one will keep you entertained every minute through its two hour duration. A must watch!
M. Butterfly was engaging and clever, in fact, I've never seen a non-musical show presented so beautifully. However, if you're not a fan of the genre you can tend to get bored. Went with my husband and we came out impressed.
A dark and compelling drama. Read tons of negative reviews about this play and was wondering why people feel this way... I enjoyed M. Butterfly thoroughly! P.s. Headout made sure we got our tickets hand delivered. That was pretty impressive! Great experience with the application. Go for this play!
As much as I loved this version, I miss the original version that flaunted extravagant sets and flamboyant costumes. This revival is more than just the story retold, it changes everything. If you've watched the previous version, make sure you don't keep any of it in mind before you head out to see this one. M. Butterfly is one brilliant piece of production.
The seats were good and the show was great. Easy booking process, highly recommend Headout
M. Butterfly forces you to stop and think about several issues in today's life... everything from culture, love and gender. A twisted story that holds your attention for two whole hours. Absolutely love what I watched!
LOVE does conquer all!!! What a beautiful way of presenting a tale as controversial as M. Butterfly. Watch if you're open minded about gender, identity and love. And of course, watch for Clive Owen!!!
Clive Owens plays the role of Rene Gallimard with such an effortless charm. M. Butterfly will not disappoint you. We were lucky enough to get a cheap ticket from Headout, I say RUN not walk to get yours! This is one play that will keep you captivated like none other.
Thanks to Headout we were able to enjoy the compelling show slashed prices! We were also greeted by a nice girl who personally delivered us our tickets outside the venue - sweet gesture. M. Butterfly is worth all the hype you're hearing, catch it before it goes off.
Although not my favourite genre, I was greatly impressed to watch the lovely Chinese opera scenes that are done up so well. The show presents several interesting perspectives of gender, race and identity. Don't be surprised if you're left grabbing the edge of your seat for this show. Simply riveting!
Despite how great it is, be wary that M. Butterfly has a few nude scenes that are inappropriate for the younger audience. Besides that, the well staged production deserves atleast two views to do it justice! GO!
What a mind blowing interpretation of the original! I had almost no expectations for the revival but I stand corrected as ever. The dark, engrossing plot makes way for path breaking revelations that will keep you biting your nails. Don't mistake M Butterfly as yet another Broadway show, it will change the way you experience Broadway plays forever. No exaggeration, go grab your tickets at the earliest.
May seem exciting to many. But if you're the kind who is easily offended with brief nudity, M Butterfly may not be the best pick for you. We visited only because we LOVE Clive Owen, and that is the one good thing about the drab, boring story.
M. Butterfly rightfully promises a twist on the original production. In fact, if you're a fan of Clive, you simply shouldn't let this one go. Please note that the show will NOT bear any resemblance to the earlier version! This one is tasteful and well-executed.
The ending took me aback, what a surprising plot twist! Good luck to those who are watching it soon, and if you can figure the end before the show ends - kudos to you. M Butterfly was great!
M. Butterfly was a well-paced production, with several heavy moments along the way. You're bound to feel grim and depressed at some point, but the story keeps you engaged. I suggest watching it if you're a fan of political drama and are not offended by random things.
A deep, thought provoking drama! M. Butterfly is nothing like the classic play it originated from, and that's alright. Expect surprises (or shocks?) and several sequences where you're left dropping your jaw. Clive Owen is simply fantastic on stage, his voice and stage presence keeps you captivated for two hours almost effortlessly. Personally loved this play more than all the others I've watched in Broadway.
Oh, my! The Chinese opera was conducted beautifully! Whether or not you're a fan of Clive Owen (or political scandals), M. Butterfly will keep you clenching your seat throughout its run time. Don't be surprised to find yourself gasping for air. Definitely going back as soon as possible.
Clever staging of a classic play. Interpretations may seem widely different, but that's alright because you're going to end up enjoying the engrossing storyline. P.s there's a wee bit nudity for those who feel uncomfortable with the idea of it.
