Highly recommend! The tour was really good and we really enjoyed it and it added a lot to our experience. Our guide, Claudia, was amazing. She was so sweet, knew a lot, and her English was really good and understandable. Also from the company's side, there was always a human response available to talk to for any problem, and they made sure we got safely to the tour and to the meeting point. One of the best tours I've been on!

Once I had found the entrance to the ticket store (Mamertine Prison) (thanks to Google Maps) I was able to pick up my tickets. I was very surprised at the price printed on the ticket (€18 per person, which would have been €38 for 2 people). Hmmm I thought 38€? So I paid €74.80. What do I get that is not included in the €18 tickets? Timed entry to the Colosseum - Access to Palatine Hill & Roman Forum (included in the 18€) - Audio guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (I didn't use it, it was too complicated for me to deal with it on site and I found it exciting enough without it, I asked ChatGPT what else I was interested in) - Hosted entry (as per option selected) -> I did not have - Special access to the Colosseum Arena (as per option selected) -> I didn't have it, but I could watch it anyway. - Mamertine Prison access with audio guide (as per option selected) -> I had but was included in the 18€ ticket anyway. Skip the line, due to the time slots there was no (long) line that I would have had to "slope". Maybe that's what I paid the hefty price for, all the cheap "options" were "sold out" .... I wonder why? Anyway, it was still great, but what remains is the feeling of having been ripped off.

We received a text the day before our tour asking us to show up 30 minutes earlier than originally planned because our tour time had changed. We didn't ask for a change. When we showed up, it turns out it wouldn't have mattered what time we showed up because it's a self guided tour. I specifically paid for a tour with a host, thinking it would be a guided tour. Turns out the "host" is just the individual at the agency who gives you your tickets and explains how to download the app and where to enter the colosseum. That was disappointing as I paid extra for a guided tour. The app you download for the tour has an AI tour guide giving you information about the colosseum. We chose not to listen to it. The colosseum itself was amazing, and having the "full experience" was nice. However you should know the full experience does not include access to the very bottom of the colosseum or the top two/three levels. If I went back to the colosseum I would probably use a different company to book or just do it myself.

The Colosseum/Palatino/Forum tour was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable, set an appropriate pace and spoke clearly. The earpiece set worked very well. The tour lasted the full 3 hours. Five stars. The Vatican Museums trip was rushed, with rushed commentary from the guide (Linda) which was not always clear and significant repetition. The ear device was much poorer quality than that used for the Colosseum trip. The Vatican tour was advertised as 3 hours but only lasted 2 hours, with the guide rushing off after leavinvg us at the doors of St Peter's Basilica with a poor 1 page photocopy of 6 points in the Basilica. It would be far better to take the intended 3 hours in the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel, with more descriptions and less rush. 1 star.

The experience when you enter the colosseum was great, but getting the ticket and getting to the entrance gate was unnecessarily complicated. We had one meeting point, from where they redirected us to the crown tours office where you had to find the correct person who then gave us a ticket. Then we had to find on our own which way to go to the colosseum and which one was the entrance gate. The audio guide was the app, it was not their own device. So they could have just emailed the ticket and link to the audio guide in advance. Never the less, everyone who worked in the crown office was nice and welcoming and the tour was great and would recommend to everyone to go.

What I realized about Rome is that it knows no low season. My husband and I went in November and we did not think we would find so many,so many people, and in the middle of the week to boot!!! Impressive!!! I had purchased tickets online with fast access to the Colosseum,Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.....and thank goodness!!!! Couldn't see the end of the ticket line.... We chose the independent entrance with audio guide,downloadable from the app ,a real discovery!!! We enjoyed our visits with the right timing and a personal "Cicerone ". If I need again in the future I will definitely use your services again! Thank you!!!

Audioguides don't work, I got a picture where I was supposed to meet the guide, he was in the area but you can't get a hold of him unless you ask everyone with a flag there, and meeting the guide was straightforward for 30 seconds where he gave us our tickets and information on how to get in. Maybe it would have been simpler to get the tickets in the mail, rather than standing around asking people around the area if they had my tickets. We had no contact phone number, no fixed location, we met in the park by the pole

The meeting point was clear. From a nice dane we received the tickets and could set up an app for the audio. We read some texts but this was quite brief. To our surprise, the ticjet said 18€ while we paid 30€ pp. 12€ pp for faster access and audio we do find expensive. Moreover, at Forum Romanum we just had to queue with a half hour wait for entrance. So we don't see that much added value. Enjoyed this tour though! We wouldn't have wanted to miss it.

The experience was good, although as we arrived 2 hours before the entrance to the colosseum they did not let us see first the Roman forum and the Palatine before entering the colosseum. And inside the colosseum the organization of the routes are very bad so that if you wanted to go up to the upper floors then when you came down they did not let you go back to visit the part of the arena and outside the colosseum they did not let us enter because we had a full experience ticket.

It was definitely worth booking in advance as the queues were very long. Booking was straightforward. When we arrived at the Headout office in Rome there was no one there with no sign on the office door to let us know what was happening which made us worry. However, the office staff arrived after 10 minutes. Would have been good if they had put a note on the door to say they would be back soon. A great place to visit that is steeped in history.

The visit to the Colosseum is not to be missed. We got lost in the crowd, we could not find the meeting point, which was quite hidden. Finally, we found the guys from Vivicos Travel, in front of the San Cosme church. Daha, very kindly accompanied us to the entrance and until he made sure that everything was in order, he didn't leave us. Thank you Daha! Yesterday you made the difference in our tour. People like that are a must!!!!

Excellent tour guide, she was clearly spoken and with excellent knowledge and a lovely sense of humour. Head sets were a definite plus as it was a busy day and we would not have been able to hear her otherwise. The monuments were amazing, worth the money and the visit. Everything was very well organised. There were toilet breaks and a cafe for a quick drink of water at the start. The tour guide was very kind to my sister who was unwell just before the start of the tour. She wasn't able to join us for the first part at the Forum but with guidance from our tour guide she was able to join in for the Colosseum. Thank you!

Buying tickets from headout can be easy and fast. They offered Chinese audio guide, 7 euro per person. But you need to download the app and bring your own earphones before arrinving, since you could only listen to the audio guide through your own phone, and the internet there really sucks. The thing I still haven't come up with is how did my family add into the audio guide smoothly, they obviously didn't mention it that clear in the technical manual. Overall, it is easy to use, but you need to do enough preliminary work. We still had a good time there.

Two small negatives are that there is no toilet at the prison where we picked up our tickets, the closest one is in the cafes between the prison and the Colosseum. The other is that it would make it easier to find your way around in the Colosseum if the stations were marked with numbers, because it is more difficult for those who go without a guide to find their way around. The entrance was quick and easy, everything went smoothly.

Today I visited the Colosseum and the Forum. As soon as I walked in, it touched me more than I expected. The walls, the smell of stone and the silence among all those people felt almost magical. In the Colosseum, I thought about what once happened here, about the stories contained in those stones. And in the Forum, among the ruins in the sun, I felt how small I really am compared to time. Everything seemed to stand still for a moment.

We looked up online and it said the crowds and queues would take an hour to get through so got there early. Managed to get through the fast moving queue in about 5 minutes. Directions to the Mamertine prison were poor and there wasn't anything to really see there so wouldn't suggest but the coleseum and Palestine hill were amazing with great views.

- It says that you have to come and exchange the tickets received at such and such an address: there's no need to come and exchange, the ones on your mobile are sufficient. (Please change your e-mail address!) - I thought I'd have a ticket to cut the queue or something, but everyone else had the same ticket as me: so what's the point of paying more?! and not the official €18. And the queue is still very, very long. - it's clearly stated that the ticket is valid for 24 hours, so I could use it before 10am the next day: 2 employees told me no, so I had to do it right away! ... but maybe they didn't understand ... - one last thing: we were expected at 10am at the coliseum, which is what we did. The queue for forum and paladin, which looked short at 10am, was interminable at 12pm... and as we had to keep going, we almost gave up. But what you could point out is that there are 4 entrances! and everyone goes to the Colosseum entrance: about 2 hours of queuing, while the others waited 10 minutes... it wasn't explained by signs (not your fault) but not on the ticket either or the e-mail! - Finally, the audio guide wasn't very efficient, and it worked for my partner but not for me, even though I'd downloaded it the day before. We had a great time at the various sites! But I was disappointed by Head Out, by the misleading price, the lack of benefits and the lack of explanations or misleading explanations. I hope my experience at the Vatican will be better.

We chose to book tickets for the entrance to the Colosseum and its arena, the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, in September 2025. The tour guide appeared exactly at the meeting time, exactly at the point written in the email to deliver the tickets to us. She was in a relatively mediocre mood, but she was quite explanatory and polite. Due to the several negative reviews, I was worried that we might not receive our prepaid tickets, which turned out not to be the case. We entered the Colosseum quite quickly without waiting in line. We also used the audio part of the tour, which we found useful, but not a lot. Overall, the communication with the organization was good and sufficient. I would choose it again.

There were no issues with entry. A guide would have been great but I think it was my mistake not to choose this option. The issue was mainly around the venuw itself - it was so busy, uncomfortably so and the new layout with the exhibition at the start of the route (and the top of of the stairs) was so crowded as to be dangerous. We had to move past it all without reading any of it as my parents were uncomfortable standing on the stairs. On a previous visit it was not like this at all and you were able to walk freely around in spite of large numbers. We only stayed an hour and didn't see any of the exhibition as there was no way to double back.

Excellent piece of history to visit. We went early (09:30) and the Forum was not overly busy which was great. We went to the coliseum portion for 11:00 and while the line moved quickly, it was incredibly busy within due to the limited amount of space. Our host was very pleasant and helpful getting us setup despite the instructions indicating he would have a white flag, he had a blue mat with a different logo, but it all worked out. Great day, great weather, great site. Would recommend, but go early if you can.

It's not right to offer tours if you know that there will be 0 Pilgrims and that the Basilica is closed to those who have paid. I had booked a guided tour with an elevator up to the dome. The Colosseum was breathtaking. Despite the crowds, you could explore a lot and marvel at the huge dimensions of this building. Unfortunately, our admission time was 16:45. You had to visit the Colosseum first. After that, however, we were not allowed onto the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum because it closes at 6pm. Too bad... Paid for nothing.

The fact of having your ticket cut in line, the set time and the row to follow. I highly recommend buying a ticket from headout, which also gives you plenty of warning one hour before the attraction, so you don't forget. It's true that there are different sites with different prices offering tickets for different attractions, but headout remains a reliable site.

We arrived to colosseum and we had to go about 12 minutes walking to get our tickets (where is mentioned that is only 1 minute lol) into the prison museum. There, they said that first we have to visit colosseum and prison the last one, so we had to go back to the colosseum again and when we finished go back to the prison again to visite it. Taking in consideration the long queues and how crowded is all the area and the extremely hot temperature, i think we wasted time going to one place and to the other again, is not comfortable. Also the audio guide was only for the prison :(. To finish, from my point of view the price was truly excessive for what it is (referring to the prison which is so small). Is better to get the ticket only to colosseum and then, if you are interested, go to visit the prison because the ticket is cheaper there directly.

The experience itself was pleasant, the sites beautiful. What didn't go well was the fact that we were forced to visit the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill first and then the Colosseum. When we booked this we thought it was a guided tour but it was just an audio guide. Once inside the colosseum, my audio wouldn't play. The wording of the advert said we would be met by our guide and taken to where we needed to be. We had paid extra for a ticket of this type and so it was very misleading and disappointing. Your advert needs to be changed to stress that this is not a guided tour.

Although the line was long, they were very efficient and moved quickly, they had fans with water misters to cool everybody down. Security was also super efficient. The overall experience of looking around and learning about the history was such a cool experience especially after the long travel from Australia! Would definitely recommend if your into historical sites and awesome Roman history.

We were able to enter the Colosseum on time for our booked time slot, and despite the large number of visitors, it didn't seem overcrowded. However, it was a little disappointing that there were no audio guides - although an additional €5 was charged for this. Too bad, because a ticket cost €26.90 in total

You have to arrive 15 minutes before the time shown on your ticket, and if you arrive before then you're sent back to the beginning of the queue - an interminable queue! otherwise it went very well, the audioguide worked well and it allows you to find your way around the monument thanks to its integrated GPS.

Booking the audio-guided tour with tickets included was an excellent choice. The process was smooth and well-organized, and having everything bundled together saved a lot of time. The attraction was magnificient but the only issue was the retrieval of the tickets. Where it says where to go to start your experience it says redeption point and an address I didn't fully understand that that meant having to go there and get my ticket I think that it should be writting head to this location to obtain your tickets because I got confused and though redemtion point meant redeming some sort of points it didn't cross my mind that it meant getting my ticket if it said redemtion ticket or to retrieve ticket then it would of clicked in my head but it didn't and I lost almost an hour from my initial time slot but luckly there was a nice guy at the Colusseum that let me in once I got my tickets almost an hour later but usually if you are late they don't let you in so I was very lucky. At the end I got to see everything I needed to see which was beautiful so I'm happy about that I just wish this website had more details for the tickets because I bought other city attractions on this website/app in other countries in europe and it was always very clear.

Our tickets were from 11am and we arrived at the meeting point at 10:30. We were told to go straight to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill as this should take around 2 hours then our Colosseum entry was at 12:30. The security queues for the Roman Forum and Palatine hill were very long which meant that once we were inside we had less than 1 hour until we needed to head to the Colosseum entrance. We loved the Roman Forum but didn't have time for Palatine hill. The colosseum entry was more straight forward and was an amazing experience once inside! Possibly would have been able to make the most of our time better if we hade books the tickets separately or done it all our selves.

The tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum was great! The German audio guide with lots of short talks and information at various stops was excellent! Our problem was the stress before the tour started because we were looking for the tour guide for 20 minutes. The exact meeting point was hard to locate using the address "Via dei Fori Imperiali 1" from the email and Google Maps, we were in front of, in and behind the church... We read the additional information from the WhatsApp too late - it would be wise to send visitors ALL the important information (about the meeting point, the audio guide) via an information channel (either email OR WhatsApp).

They sent me a link to make a reservation and I wanted a guide at the same time as some friends. In the end the guide was nice to me but according to her I had booked a standard without a guide and only for the colosseum. I found it very confusing. She told me that my companions did it through an agency and I understand that it is the same. They tell me that I bought it directly on the colosseum website. In the end I had to buy the entrance to the colosseum again because when I arrived I had already passed my access time. I also don't understand the difference between guide and audio guide. The difference is not made clear at the time of booking.

Everything went well via Headout. You meet about 50 meters from the entrance and get a ticket printout. The day before we received the link to the audio guide and a short briefing on site. We wouldn't have needed this host service and it was actually far too expensive - but for our time period there were only tickets available through agencies. And they are all expensive. That's the price for not having taken care of it in time. Everything worked perfectly. The audio guide is also in German.

The audio guide in the Colosseum didn't work quite so well, the files automatically displayed at the stand didn't always fit, but that wasn't a problem at the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. The waiting time at the Colosseum was about 20 minutes. We were aware that not everything is included in the ticket, but not that there are also several exhibitions on the Palatine Hill that you can only visit with a full ticket.

I bought the basic package, without the Palatine Hill, but I found out the other day that on the Capitoline Hill you get the same view of the Roman Forum for free. The audio guide was a nice help to better understand the history while avoiding having to stop at the informative panels inside the Colosseum which were really crowded.
