I had no idea that it also takes a lot of effort to make a play go WRONG! The crew required a standing ovation towards the end for being so over-the-top enthusiastic and fun throughout the two hour long show. We couldn't help rolling in our seats with laughter. Seriously guys, let go of your midweek woes and watch this one before it goes off!
Hilarious! They did such a great job with the overall plot, without compromising one bit on the comedy part of it. My children who were accompanying me begged to watch it another time again. The Play That Goes Wrong is by far the best family treat that we've experienced on stage.
I'm not a fan of musicals, so when my friends decided to book this show via Headout, i was a little sceptical. (Although I was super relieved to see discounted tickets!) but we ended up laughing so hard, it was definitely nothing like i've ever seen before. Refreshing!
The play was great, very funny.
OMG!!! Rib-tickling slapstick humour that kept us laughing all the time! The Play That Goes Wrong, indeed, goes wrong at so many places. It is nothing like the kind of Broadway we've seen so far. The audience participation along with the over the top crazy shenanigans of the crew, both on and off the stage makes this an evening no one will soon forget.
Definitely hilarious and nothing like I've ever watched before... but two hours of slapstick farce is a bit too much for me. The ninety minute run time got a little exhausting, however the cast was power packed and full of energy... had no second to spare! Enjoyed it otherwise.
The Play That Goes Wrong is one such play that you may either end up loving, or hating - there is no inbetween. Lucky for me, i'm one of those who loves silly comedies and this one was a total hit. The plot is a funny British comic scenario that keeps you laughing until your tummy hurts! If you're looking for a night to escape your worries, go for this.
My wife and i ended up laughing madly after ages! The Play that goes wrong is outrageously funny! A classic comedy with a murder mystery fiasco will keep you waiting for many other disasters waiting to happen on during the show. The team does a splendid job, kudos to their energy!!
What a crazy play! The title did suggest that a lot of things may go wrong, but definitely didn't expect the play to fall apart prop by prop as it went on. My friends and I laughed a lot but it did get forced after a point... there's only so much you can find funny, even in a plain ol' slapstick farce. Nevertheless, don't let that stop you from watching this masterpiece.
If you want to take a break from the usual, heavy and emotional musicals that are on Broadway right now, you can unwind with this easy-going play that definitely DOES go wrong! But this is not your classic comedy, this definitely requires you to have an affinity for farce. So if you're the kind who hates it, my suggestion is to clear off.
A child-friendly, laughter riot that involves dead corpses squirming and props falling off during the dire times. It was ok, maybe even a little enjoyable but we were overdosed by the time we got through. It will test your patience! I suggest not going if you're not into British slapstick.
We were running late, but the headout representative waited for us in the rain to make sure we got the tickets!
