Half-Day Tour to Windsor Castle from London

Very well organized departure and return, very punctual! We toured everything and had plenty of time for lunch. The guide was very kind and attentive.

Yes, excellent. Eva the coordinator was a genius. She explained very well without exhausting us. And then we did a free tour of the castle.

Shane the tour guide was wonderful. More time needs to be allotted to see the all three of the following-The State Apartments, the chapel and the doll house. We had to omit the dollhouse due to the queues. And the queues really weren't all that long. The tour really needs to be a half hour longer-felt a bit cheated out of the advertised experience.

Ticketing was so straight forward and was very easy. I got my ticket straight away. The experience was incredible. It was my dream to see Windsor castle. The tour bus was good as well.

The tour was good and our bus driver was very friendly. However, the driver did not drop us off at the end of the day at the same place we began. This would have been ok, except no where on our tickets or online did it mention this at all. Disappointing considering we had a booking for dinner near the area we got picked up from, which meant we had to then pay to get transport back there.

To begin with, the trip bus came 25 minutes late. It was informed that an Anderson rep will meet us before the start of the tour. But the rep came with the bus, that too 25 minutes late. No intimation of delay given. On return the bus was ready to leave with out it's full tourists, saying we have to be on time, what about the initial delay? The tourists lost their on site time, how about that? Who is responsible for all these? How are you going to compensate?

The thing I loved best was the helpfulness of the staff. I walk with a cane and they arranged for a "buggy" to take me up the hill. Even so, there was more walking involved than I tolerated well. And the elevator was not working so I had to climb those awful stairs from where the bus dropped us. It would have been beneficial to me to know in advance how much walking was required. I could have brought my walker instead of my cane and that would have been helpful. Just getting from the bus to the vastly was exhausting, then there was the walk through the castle and walking all the way back to the bus. According to my watch, I walked 2.5 miles, not including the buggy ride. If I had walked that additional way, you might have needed to take me out on a stretcher. Your written description really needs to include a statement regarding the distance necessary to walk.

Everything was ok, exept the bus did'nt returne us to our starting point (Victoria)
