The Visit was good and we didn't have to queue but we could not initially find the ticket office. The price was much higher than the standard entry price and was not good value.

The audio guide app was very glitchy - we'd downloaded the tour as advised by the provider but then it wouldn't play without internet access (there was no signal inside the basilica so we could only use it when outside on the roof terrace area). We managed to use the same app inside the doge palace which was a better experience though the layout was difficult to navigate and didn't seem to follow a sensible route through the rooms

Definitely worth getting the skip the queue tickets. Slightly confusing where to go for them, but the staff are so incredibly helpful with sorting it. The basilica is definitely not to be missed. An absolute must is to get tickets (from inside) for going outside with the horses at the top- the view is something else and it's incredible safe.

The meeting point was clear. Audio guide in app was confusing at first because we had to determine which area was first on the audio. And which way to go through the basilica. There was no mention of an additional fee to see an area of the basilica that was talked about in the audio guide. There were no volunteers to ask once inside. Had to follow the crowd. It was good for first time visit at yiur own pace.

St. Mark's Basilica, impressive inside and out. The smartphone audioguide is sufficient. You'll need to collect your ticket from Venice city tours, which offers a small tourist book about Venice.

You will be required to pay on the spot for collateral Pala D'Oro (€5) & St. Mark's Museum (€7).
Receive the ticket and the code for the audio guide at the meeting point indicated.
Please arrive at the timeslot selected otherwise you'd lose your booking.
Strict Dress Code: Please avoid wearing shorts, tank tops, or revealing clothing.
The Basilica is suitable for wheelchair users and pram/stroller users.
Professional and non-private photography and filming are forbidden.
Strictly use earphones when inside the Basilica (they will also elevate your audio guide experience)!
The venue does not have a smartphone charging facility. Please ensure you charge your phone before your visit to enjoy an uninterrupted digital audio guide experience.
You cannot enter with luggage. There is Luggage Storage in Piazzetta dei Leoncini, a few meters from the Basilica.
