Set off for a day's excursion to the stunning UNESCO World Heritage listed island of Mont Saint-Michel and its bay. On this tour, you will be able to discover the magnificent medieval abbey which is built at the summit of the island.

Your Day

• Travel by air-conditioned coach from the center of Paris at 7:15 AM and head to the exceptional Mont Saint Michel

• Relax and take in the scenic Normandy countryside before you arrive at Mont Saint Michel at around 12 noon

• Walk to the base of the island of Mont Saint Michel on foot. The island is a unique fortified rocky outcrop that dates back to the Middle Ages

• The exceptional setting will hold you in awe as you see the massive abbey surrounded by a vast bay with one of the biggest tides in Europe

• From the base, you can ascend to the top of the island to the stunning Benedictine Abbey, which dates from the 8th Century

• The Abbey is a wonderful example of Gothic architecture and is dedicated to the Archangel Michael

• Visit the cloister, the magnificent refectory, and the abbey's charming garden and soak in the sights of it all surrounded by the sea

• The stunning landscape is sure to blow your mind away as the island is cut off by the sea at high tide and is only accessible during a low tide

• Walk along the walls and ramparts of this imposing masterpiece and spend time visiting Mont Saint Michel's museum

• Finally, head back to Paris at 4:30 PM which you will be scheduled to reach at approximately 9:15 PM
