Le fait de pouvoir se balader dans les ruines et d'approcher les restes de fresque, de mosaïque. Le fait d'être assez libre dans les ruines permet une immersion plus importante ce qui rend l'expérience fascinante.

Es gibt nur wenige Beschilderungen innerhalb Pompei, was die Orientierung schwerer macht. Außerdem waren einige Häuser und Gänge gesperrt. Wir musste sehr viel zurück und Umwege laufen. Der Bereich zur Villa Misteri kostet extra, obwohl pro Person schon über 20€ gezahlt wurden. Der Audioguide ist ein Handy mit Karte und Standort (wenn er denn funktioniert), allerdings ohne Kopfhörer. Dies hätte man vorher irgendwo dazuschreiben können. So mussten wir die langen Informationen wie beim Telefonieren anhören, was bei der Menge anstrengend werden kann. Schön waren das Amphitheater und die Ausstellungen im Palast und unterhalb des Stores.

Le site était incroyable ! Ils ont une très bonne organisation et les audioguide sont vraiment les meilleurs que nous avons pu tester. Le plan sur le téléphone avec notre position qui évolue en même temps que nous sur le site nous simplifie vraiment le déplacement sur le site. Nous avons gagné beaucoup de temps en prenant les billets sur ce site avant. Une très bonne expérience !

The train from Naples was packed with people - standing room only. I bought the tickets as we rode the train, because I thought we would avoid waiting in line. When we arrived, first we had to wait in line to redeem the tickets; second, the online version was a bit more expensive than the tickets at the gate. It all turned out okay, but it would help at least if you would make it clear that your are charging a bit more for the online version. We were otherwise happy with the whole experience - it was just a minor annoyance. Thanks - Jack PS - Your choices in this questionnaire do not give us the correct choice (online version more expensive). And then this section is titled "What did you love about your experience?" - We know you want positive reviews, but if you want real reviews, then maybe rethink this rating questionnaire. :)

Deeply ingrained in myth and history, Pompeii dates back to nearly 2,000 years ago. An ancient site, the town was unearthed in 1748 AD after the infamous eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Over here you can revel in the ancient glory of the Campania region forever immortalized by the volcanic debris, standing as a true testament of nature’s infinite existence.

Upon arrival in Pompeii make your way into the attraction where your adventure truly begins. With ancient ruins and age-old artifacts all around, and a skyline dominated by Mount Vesuvius, the visuals through this discovery are breathtaking. Ideally, you want to spend around 4 hours here, there’s plenty for you to see. Walk around the Forum, visit the Basilica or relax under the shade of a tree near the amphitheater, it’s your call. There are numerous frescos and statues spread over the town along with 25 street fountains, 4 public baths and many business buildings which paints an almost real picture of the town in its hay day. As you stroll through the cobbled streets you’ll find yourself looking at everything with a sense of wonder and amazement. After all, you’re in a place that is frozen in the fabric of time.
