With a building shaped like a water lily, Oceanogràfic in Valencia is hard to miss. What’s even more impressive is that this is the largest aquarium in Europe, and is home to 45,000 sea creatures from 500 species! Explore the upper floor, which is surrounded by a lake that hosts flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants. The lower floor is where you can see for yourself how the many marine ecosystems of the world thrive, be it wetlands, the temperate and tropical seas, or the oceans of the world. Spot unique aquatic creatures here including belugas and sea lions!
The ticket also includes access to the Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe, where you can learn about science and space in an interactive, and entertaining way. Fun fact: the building was designed in the form of a whale’s skeleton and aims to bring science and technology closer to the public in an enjoyable way. One of the exhibitions here that you are allowed to touch, feel, and think about is the Electricity Theatre. Watch as an eccentric inventor demonstrates the principles of electricity - your hair might literally stand on end by the end! Stroll through the building and get more insights about concepts such as climate change, surveillance technology, and biometrics, all in easy-to-consume language.
Note: This is a 2-day pass and the day you choose during checkout is the 1st day for your visit to Oceanogràfic. On the second day, you can visit the Principe Felipe Science Museum.
