Home to many of Japan’s youth sub-cultures, Harajuku is a magnet for trendsetters, cosplayers, and dealers of all things cool. Defined by Takeshita Dori, you’re likely to find everything here, from Tokyo fashion favorites, Japanese trinkets at jaw-dropping rates, luxury brands and K-pop star fan stores to whacky conspiracy-theory T-shirts, oddball shoes, and entire stores dedicated to incredibly creative socks. The variety is truly the best part. If the ever-changing Takeshita Street is the face of Harajuku, then Laforet is its heart, with it being a steady, constant source of pure creative genius. With everything from Vivienne Westwood to small Tokyo-based fashion brands and everything in between, you can satiate your fashionable appetite. Cat Street offers yet another haven to lose yourself amidst, what with its range of vintage shops and local designer clothing to upscale boutiques and high-end international brands.

The specialty of this district, however, is crepes! Menu options range from chocolate ones, cream-filled ones, gluten-free ones, savory ones, and any combination that you can think of. Browse from a flavorful selection of ingredients featuring whipped cream, fruits, cakes, cookies and more, and indulge in the official food of kawaii central Harajuku!
