Your Experience

This 4-hour guided tour of Bucharest will take you through the story of communism in the city. The itinerary of the tour depends on your hotel's location but rest assured, you will get a glimpse into the most striking remnants of Romanian communism. At Revolution Square, see the balcony where the dictator gave his last speech, as well as the 'People's House.' You will also get to see the former residence of the presidential couple.

Visit the Free Press Square, once home to all the main newspapers so that they could easily be controlled by the authorities. Marvel at the Arch of Triumph (the main stage for the military parade), and Primaverii Palace, the former residence of the dictator. Explore the famous squares - Victoriei, Union, University, Romana, and Charles de Gaulle. See the Palace of Parliament, the world’s second-largest administrative building. It was created by former dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu.
