The Story

The play tells the story of Arthur Kipps, a solicitor who is sent to a remote town to attend the funeral of a client. He then leaves to visit the house of the deceased and finds letters that describe the woman in black and her haunted past. Soon after, his life begins to take a haunted turn and misfortune befalls him. Many years later, he enlists the help of an actor to tell his story.
