about the show
Vaudeville is back, with a real party this time. Packed with tragicomic allegories, this show is presented in 5-6 short sketches, the glimpses of a party, that seems to steadily disintegrate as the evening goes on.
Based on the 1928 Joseph Moncure March poem of the same name, this story revolves around Queenie, who “was a blonde and her age stood still” with the backdrop of Manhattan decadence and 1920s excess. Some of the other people at the party are a fading star, an "ambisextrous" socialite, a gay brother act, a lesbian stripper, a boxer and an underage innocent girl. But when lasciviousness turns into tragedy, it is realised that even the wildest of parties can’t last forever.
