Take the bus and get the chance to meet an astronaut upon arrival at Kennedy Space Center (usually on Wednesday and Saturday mornings). This is exclusive to you, so it is an excellent added benefit. In case the meet-and-greet is not available, the experience will be substituted with a walk-through tour of the Space Shuttle Atlantis facility.
Get a taste of what astronauts feel during take-off when you visit the Shuttle Launch Experience, a space simulator. Watch IMAX movies, enjoy a 3D experience of walking on the moon, and enter a surreal rock garden surrounded by giant rocket 'flowers. Take some time to explore Space Shuttle Atlantis, which showcases the orbiter spacecraft and tells the story of NASA’s 30-year Space Shuttle Program.
You will stand nose-to-nose with the Atlantis spacecraft as only astronauts have seen it before – with payload bay doors open as if it were floating in space. There are also over 60 interactive, touch-screen experiences and high-tech simulators that will let you experience 'being an astronaut.' These include a virtual EVA or extravehicular activity, practicing docking to the ISS, getting an X-ray view of Atlantis' interior, and even kicking up a virtual chemical reaction to launch the shuttle. If you've wondered about what it must feel like to float in space, you can do that as well, and enjoy the sensations of a shuttle launch. This is your chance to feel like a real astronaut! To upgrade your experience and save time, go for the Express Tour. It will let you bypass all the pickups and take you straight to the final meeting point at the ICON 306 plaza to fast-track your way into the attraction.

Visitors may bring backpacks and soft-sided coolers into the visitor complex. Food and beverages packed in small, soft-sided coolers are permitted. Glass bottles or containers are not permitted. Beer is for sale at select locations and no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
