The Show

Disney’s® *The Rescuers* will be screened as part of the Dubai Opera Film Festival this August. Disney animation found itself in a slump during the 1970s until the studio produced The Rescuers, the saving grace of Disney’s in the 70s. Making for a great family viewing, The Rescuers is a tale about the unlikely friendship of animated misfits in a melancholy setting of Devil’s Bayou. Miss Bianca and her chosen partner, a shy janitor, Bernard sought out to rescue a little girl, Penny after receiving a bottle containing a plea for help. It ventures some deep themes, like child-kidnapping and slavery, making it a little sensitive for preschoolers. Parents and guardians, you’ve been warned!

Latecomers will be allowed inside the hall only during a break.
The door of the auditorium will be closed 5 minutes before the show commences.
The use of any camera recording devices is strictly prohibited inside the hall.
Bars open 2 hours before the show begins.
All Boxes are General Admission, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Seats cannot be reserved before arrival.

By Bus

Get off at Dubai Mall Metro Station using buses D01, D03A, F13. Then take the walkway to Dubai Opera along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard.

By Metro

Get off at Burj Khalifa station on the red line. Take the walkway from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard to Dubai Opera. Please note that walking time is approximately 25 minutes.
