Situated in an exclave of Oman, between the UAE and the Persian Gulf, is the Musandam region. Primarily a peninsula that juts into the gateway between the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf, the Musandam region is rich in natural wonder - geological formations, land and sea life, old fishing villages, stone houses and Portuguese forts.

A drastic change from the scenery of Dubai, this tour of Khasab, the capital of Musandam, and cruise in the surrounding waters offer a unique getaway from the urban jungle of Dubai. You will be part of a peaceful and scenic environment, surrounded by the rugged mountains of Musandam standing in the sea. You will also be able to put on your swimming gear, dive into the waters and swim with the fishes in the surrounding seas. The tour is also inclusive of a sumptuous buffet lunch that is served on board the dhow.

your experience

The experience begins at your residence where you will be picked up in a luxury bus and embark on your journey towards Musandam. On the way, you will drive past the Hajar mountain ranges on one side and the Persian Gulf on the other. There will be multiple stops for taking photographs as well. This journey is refreshing and scenic in its own right.

After this 2-hour journey, you will reach the Musandam Khasab harbor and board a traditional Omani dhow for your cruise. The cruise will take you past one of the largest fjords, or rock canyons, of the region - Khor Al Shim. Here, you can don your swimming gear and go for a snorkeling session in the sea. There will be refreshments throughout the cruise.

You will also have a chance to see dolphins swimming with their schools and diving in and out of the sea. Following this marvelous experience, you will enjoy a delicious continental lunch buffet on your dhow. After the 5-hour cruise, you will return to the port with unforgettable memories of the place. Finally, you will be transferred back to Dubai to your residence.

Duration

The total duration of the cruise is 5 hours. You will be picked up from your residence in Dubai at 6:30 AM.
Note: The drive from the hotel to Musandam, which takes 1.5 to 2 hours each way, is not included in the cruise's duration.

Meeting Point

If you do not opt for hotel pick up and drop off, you must meet your tour guide at the Dibba Al Hisn Border Check point, Corniche St, Dibba, Oman. If you choose to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel, the experience will begin and end at your place of stay. It takes 2 hours to reach Musandam from Dubai.

Important Information

A current valid passport is required on the day of travel.
Please note that both UAE Residents and those holding a Tourist Visa must send a copy of their passport prior to their tour in order to get their Border Pass processed, without which guests cannot cross the Dibba checkpoint.
The border pass, once processed, will remain at the Dibba checkpoint and will only serve for the corresponding valid passport.
Bring along your sunglasses, sunscreen, change of clothes, towel, swimwear, fishing equipment.

How to Redeem Your Tickets

You will receive your Musandam dhow tour voucher via email shortly. Ensure you take a print out of your voucher. On the day of your experience, present your voucher to the tour operator who will come to pick you up at your hotel in a luxury coach or at Dibba Al Hisn Border Check point, if you have not chosen the pick-up and drop-off option.
