Ik hield van de rondleiding en sommige van de vooraf aangewezen plaatsen die we op onze rondleiding hadden. De staterooms waren geweldig. Mijn gids was goed, maar maakte kleinerende opmerkingen over LA en Californië tijdens de tour. Mijn verloofde en ik komen uit San Diego en vonden dit beledigend, niet gerelateerd aan de tour in Londen en bevooroordeeld. Ze weet niet waar onze politieke opvattingen liggen en weet duidelijk niets over Californië. Ik hoop dat ze in haar toekomstige tours meer afstand zal nemen van haar persoonlijke gevoelens en meningen en bij de focus van de tour in Londen blijft.

Wat er gebeurde is dat nergens stond dat het in het Engels was en wij spraken Spaans, dus we begrepen niets van wat de gids zei, totdat we het paleis binnengingen en ze ons de paleisgids gaven met opties in het Spaans.

Naar Buckingham Palace gaan is al een droom van me sinds 1981, toen ik de Royal Wedding zag. Het was alles wat ik me ervan had voorgesteld en meer! Ik kan het niet genoeg aanbevelen. Het maakte onze reis naar Londen compleet.

This was a very great experience with my family. We have seen in photos and videos and now seeing it real. It was amazing to see where the monarchy lives and runs Great Britain. There were many beautiful paintings reflecting the history of England.

On the days when the Changing of the Guard ceremony is not available, a visit to the Horseguards Parade will be arranged in its place.
Cancellation due to bad weather is not announced before 11am. When this occurs, you will still see a ‘wet change’ during which the guards march but without the usual music or parade.

Photography is not permitted inside Buckingham Palace.
