Went on a day tour to Plitvice lakes. I am impressed how everything was PERFECTLY organised! Few days before the tour you get messages with practical information. We stayed around 5 hours in the park, took the train and the boat, walked 9km, perfect tour suitable for anyone and you see a lot. You can still walk to your own beat, the guide manage to keep in touch with everyone in the group and that the “trail instructions” are clear. Special thanks to Klara, our guide, passionated, nice and funny ! Also to mention that the bus driver drove very safely!

To get you started, a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) hike through the forest will leave you overwhelmed with wonder by undeniable natural beauty. Enjoy a ride on a boat and an electric train that will take you around the park included in your ticket.

In addition to the breathtaking biota, Plitvice Lakes National Park also houses cascading waterfalls and travertine barriers that have been around for about ten thousand years. There are also 16 picturesque lakes that are known for their distinct colors. Depending on the minerals and organisms that inhabit these waters and how the sunlight hits them, the color of the lakes ranges from azure to blue, grey, or green.

Don't forget your camera to take loads of pictures of some of the fondest memories you will want to keep close to you for a long, long time.
