Museum is amazing! We were there at end of October with no air conditioning and there were windows open. It was very warm and humid. So much so we left early unfortunately.

Pompeii artifacts and town model were interesting. Very disappointed that the second floor was closed. We very much wanted to see the mosaics.

Evereng was fine but when I wanted to reschedule my visit to other hour it was impossible. As a result I bought another 2 tickets the same day but differnt time. So, I paid twice without possibility to get refund.

The museum is closed every Tuesday. If Tuesday is a public holiday, the museum will postpone the closing to Wednesday.
The newsroom shuts down half an hour before closing time.
The Secret Room is open every day from 9am to 2pm and entrance is allowed to small groups. The Coin section is open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm.
Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month.
