Loro Parque

Loro Parque in Tenerife is a unique 'must-see' attraction.  The vision of one man over 41 years ago, Loro Parque is still run by the original owner.  Over the years, it has grown into a 135,000m2 parrot and animal park which has attracted over 44 million visitors from around the world.

Loro Parque cares for more than 3,000 parrots of 300 species, the most important parrot collection in the world.  But Loro Parque is not just about these intelligent exotic birds, it’s also home to dolphins, sea lions, orcas, the biggest penguinarium of the world, chimpanzees, sharks, tigers, alligators and the first ever bachelor group of gorillas in the world.

Loro Parque celebrates the arrival of two young male gorillas from Hannover Adventure Zoo in Germany. Little Kiburi (10) and Ubongo (7) will join the group of five male Western Lowland gorillas and born in different European zoos. The gorillas live in Loro Parque under the European Programme for Threatened Species (EEP) which protects this seriously threatened species.

These young gorillas are now adapting to their new home where they are enjoying Tenerife’s sunny environment in an open area, adjacent to the zone where the rest of the group is. This way, they can become familiar with their new environment and the sounds and the smells of their new companions. Following the instructions of the Head of Mammals, Francisco Prieto, after this adaptation period the group will share the complete exhibit with more than 3.500 square metres with lush vegetation, waterfalls and hideouts for them to enjoy their long siestas.

Don’t forget - just enter the date of your departure for Tenerife. You can then decide when you want to visit the parks when you are in resort!

PLEASE NOTE - If you are booking more than one ticket option, then you MUST make a separate booking for each ticket type. Failure to do this may result in non confirmation of one or both reservations, resulting in issues upon arrival at the Park(s).

Please note that the parks reserve the right to change prices / discounts at any given time and due to routine maintenance to close attractions for a period of time. In any case notification of such events will be communicated at the ticket office.

PLEASE NOTE - The dolphin show at Loro parque will be closed from 11th September until 7th October 2017 for renovation work.

Both Siam Park and Loro Parque reserve the right to close rides without prior notice. In this instance no partial refunds will be provided.
