I loved the up close and personal experience we received and the easy to follow audio guide, when we could see the audio numbers. With the crowd, you couldn't always see the signs of what audio number you should be at. The audio was short and sweet and informative.

We spent an hour in the queue before entering the abbaye even if we had booked our tickets. The abbaye is crowded it is difficult to visit at your own pace. It is stunning though and we were delighted to visit the abbaye :)

There was confusion in the queue. Some people were sent to a very long line while others were admitted straight inside. We thought it was probably a ticket type but, after bumping into friends who happened to visit on the same da, who had the same type of ticket we did, and who were admitted straightaway, we were more than a bit disappointed to have been made to wait for 90 minutes to get inside. The audio tour was great though.

Westminster Abbey

One of London's oldest buildings, the Westminster Abbey boasts stunning Gothic architecture and exquisite stained glass. This iconic structure has hosted 38 coronations, starting with that of William the Conqueror. It has also seen the royal weddings of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William. You will also get to see the Coronation Chair, which was created for King Edward I in 1296 and has since been the seat for the crowing of every monarch. To explore Westminster Abbey is to take a trip back in time. It is here that 17 British monarchs, and other exemplary figures such as Isaac Newton and Charles Dickens, are laid to rest. Apart from the Coronation Chair, you will also get to see Poets' Corner, named as such due to the number of poets and writers buried there.

Churchill War Rooms Tour

Discover the underground secrets of the British during the Second World War and learn about the lives of the staff and workers who worked in secret along with Churchill to ensure the Allied victory over the Axis powers.

A wartime bunker turned into a piece of living history, the Churchill Room is home to a subterranean network of rooms and bunkers where wartime strategies were formed and secrets discussed.
