Set during the tumultuous Vietnam War of the mid and late 1960s, Hair - The Musical is an exquisite exploration of the sexual revolution and hippie culture. Written by Gerome Ragni and James Rado, Hair is one of the most resounding anti-war musicals that continues to be relevant to this day. The musical follows the story of a group of young political activists Claude, Berger, and Sheila. Caught between the conservative expectations of his parents and his liberal beliefs, Claude attempts to avoid getting drafted to fight in the Vietnam War. Will he succumb to the pressure of his parents and give up his pacifist principles?
Hair has been adapted and performed by several major productions over the decades. The 2009 Broadway revival of the musical won the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award. Some of its most popular rock songs include ‘I Got Life’, ‘Let the Sun Shine’, and ‘Aquarius’. The show is directed by Laurence Olivier Award winner Arlene Phillips, CBE. She is well-known for her role as a judge on talent shows such as So You Think You Can Dance and Strictly Come Dancing.

Reviews
“A joyous piece of living theatre.”
“This is a slick, well-choreographed (of course) and full of energy piece, with the four-strong band keeping the pace going for almost an hour and a half.”
