After a successful performance in Netflix’s docuseries Dancing Queen, Alyssa Edwards is all set to rock the West End stage with her dynamic performance. The show has all of the elements that you have come to love about drag shows - dazzlingly flamboyant costumes, impressive splits and kicks, and inimitable dancing. Alyssa, Memoirs of a Queen is an autobiographical piece that primarily examines the life and exploits of Alyssa Edwards herself. She will be accompanied by a troupe of fantastic dancers on stage at the Vaudeville Theatre.
Alyssa, Memoirs of a Queen is written by Brad Loekle, a stand-up comedian best known as a commentator on the hilarious reality television show ‘TruTV Presents World’s Dumbest…’. He is also a columnist for a monthly LGBT publication called Key West Gay Rag. The show is directed by Spencer Noll with costume design by Libby Todd. ‘Beyond Belief Dance Company’ owner and chief Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson, widely identified by the stage name Alyssa Edwards, is the star of the show. Edwards quickly rose to stardom after her incredible performance in RuPaul's Drag Race - Season 5. In 2019, she was ranked fifth by the New York magazine’s list of ‘most powerful drag queens in America’.
