Admissions - Tickets
Starring Alex Kingston of ER and Doctor Who fame, Admissions is a bitingly witty take on the grey area of school and college politics, and the progressive ideals that are slowly trying to make their way into them.

why watch admissions
Written by Joshua Harmon, whose previous play Bad Jews had rave reviews, Admissions is a satire on the left and the progressive ideals that we might blindly champion without fully understanding all their repercussions. Starring Alex Kingston (ER, Doctor Who), Admissions has previously enjoyed a successful run at New York's Lincoln Theater, and now, this widely acclaimed play comes to the West End stage, where it sure to be just as successful.
Sherri-Rosen Mason is fighting to make her school's student body more diverse and inclusive. As head of the Admissions Department of a New England prep school, she has managed to transform an expectedly "monochromatic" student body into one fit for modern times, ably assisted by her husband, who happens to be the headmaster of the school. However, issues present themselves too close to home when their own son begins applying at an Ivy League school - and it turns out that he doesn't tick all the "appropriate" boxes. All their progressive ideas seem to go down the drain suddenly, and they begin questioning all the ideals they so held in high regard. Admissions explores the hypocrisy, conflicts, and contradictions that can sometimes come in the way of progressivism.

For the show at Lincoln Theater:
Those sharp edges are a constant among almost all the characters in Joshua Harmon's new play, a smart, provocative drama with a rich vein of humor that pulls the rug out from under liberal white America, letting nobody off scot-free.
– The Hollywood Reporter
The satire is largely aimed at the kind of pieties about inclusion that are espoused by woke white liberals.
