what to expect

What is LEGOLAND New York?

LEGOLAND New York is a theme park in Goshen, New York, based on the Lego toy brand. It is currently under construction and is expected to open during early 2021 at a cost of $350 million. Once it opens, it will become the ninth Legoland park, and the third located in the United States, following LEGOLAND California (1999), and LEGOLAND Florida (2011). The park is owned by Merlin Entertainment and will include seven themed areas commonly found at existing Legoland parks. There will be 50 attractions and over 30 million Lego bricks in the park, which in turn will cover over 150 acres and will be the world's largest LEGOLAND park upon opening!

Why Visit LEGOLAND New York?

Explore the seven themed lands here and run, climb, splash, and most importantly build your way through at the ultimate LEGO theme park destination!

Brick Street

There’s no hard and fast rule that a carousel has to have horses. Fire up your imagination and grab a motorcycle, mount a cycle, or hop on a giraffe for a fun ride! Ideal for anyone aged 14 years or older.

Bricktopia

Unhindered by any rules, this is the place where you can build anything you want. Build a robot that obeys commands, a car that you can race or board the DUPLO® Express. The latter includes a wacky fountain adorned with musical instruments that are made from LEGO bricks. Simply jump to trigger the instruments and create a fun tune! At DJ's Dizzy Disco Spin, the Minifigure DJ plays everyone’s favorite tracks, and disco lights add color and shine. If you’re curious about what it must feel like to be the minifigure mentioned above, take the LEGO Factory Adventure Ride. You’ll be magically shrunk to miniature size and be right in the action of LEGO bricks being created.

LEGO NINJAGO World

As the name suggests, this themed zone has plenty in store for aspiring ninjas! Head to the Ninja Training Camp and hone your skills by trying the Spinners, the Climbing Wall, and Reatrix. For some real(ish) ninja training, enter Jay’s Gravity Force Trainer. You will learn to take on high speeds and G Forces - almost as if you are whirling inside a Spinjitsu vortex. If you’re looking for a real quest to take on, try LEGO NINJAGO® The Ride. Enter the Monastery and learn to power the elements under the guidance of Master Wu. Practice on a series of illusions - until the Great Devourer breaks through. Then it is upon you to save the World of Ninjago!

LEGO Castle

Hear ye, hear ye! A fairytale adventure awaits you at LEGO Castle. Hop on Merlin’s Flying Machines and see how high the Wizard’s magical machines will let you fly. Channel your inner Bran Stark (before he fell from the tower, that is) and join the Tower Climb Tournament to hoist yourself to the top - don’t forget to aim at as many targets as you can along the way! You could also enter the Builder’s Guild and help construct the castle. There are also a couple of dragon-related adventures, because why not? The castle has just witnessed a flock of baby dragons that have hatched, and it is up to you to train them and teach them how to fly with a rider. Another adventure we can’t wait to try out is The Dragon, where you help the King and Queen chase the red wizard and his red dragon out of the castle, and reclaim the good wizard’s staff!

LEGO City

Kids aged 3-5 years will love Junior Driving School. They’ll even have a LEGOLAND Driving License at the end of the experience! Children aged 6-13 years can drive in the City Park for their license. If you have a heroic bent, join the Fire Academy and learn how to power a LEGO fire engine, or try out at the Coast Guard Academy, where you can patrol the Wharf with a battery-powered boat and help save people when they need your help! After all this running around, make sure to check out the Palace Cinema - take a seat at this select screening and catch the latest blockbuster in amazing 4D from LEGO City Studios!

LEGO Pirates

Avast ye! Prepare yourself for the high seas and climb aboard a gear-spun Galleon. Or set sail on a racing barrel and look out for hungry beasts, water spouts, and other dangers lurking in the waters. There’s also a Splash Battle which is every bit as fun as it sounds. Stand guard behind your own water cannon and take your best watery shot at spectators and other riders!

MINILAND

Take your mini-you and see a whole country in a day at MINILAND! See about 10 destinations with beautiful scenery and city skylines from coast to coast – all built out of LEGO bricks!
