Far from the madding London crowds, the Kew Gardens grant you a unique opportunity to relax and unwind. Take in deep lungfuls of the fresh air and stroll through the many different attractions of the Gardens, such as the Temperate House, which is the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world and hosts some of the rarest and most vulnerable temperate zone plants from all over the world. You can also see the Temperate Gardens, the orangery with its sweet-smelling citrus trees, the classical brick Kew Palace, and the 18-meter high Treetop Walkway. The Kew Gardens also boasts of two different art galleries, the Marianne North Gallery which displays art from around the world, and the Shirley Sherwood which contains botanical art. There is something for everyone in these beautiful gardens.

Important Information

  • All visitors to Kew Gardens aged 16 and over are requested to check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app upon arrival

Updates

  • All external drinking fountains will be turned off for the winter months, until spring 2022.
  • Queen Charlotte’s Cottage and Kew Palace are now open from 1st April till September 2022. Kew Palace Kew Palace is open daily from 11am to 4pm.
  • The lift to the Treetop Walkway is currently out of service.
  • The Badger Sett in the Natural Area is closed.
  • Parking is prohibited on Kew Road and limited around the area.
  • There are no lockers or baggage storage facilities available.
  • Kew Palace toilets are currently closed for refurbishment. The closest facilities are at the Orangery.
