Be a part of an authentic indigenous experience with an interactive lunch in Tamaki Maori Village. You will learn about the cultural history of the place through storytelling by your English-speaking guide. The Mihi Whakatau welcome, unique to the Maori, will be accompanied by fresh Kawakawa sparkling brews. Kawakawa is a herb native only to New Zealand!
After participating in rolling the dough and whipping up your own fried bread, you’ll gather with your new friends from the village and have a traditional lunch. It will include fried break Puku burgers that you’ll have helped put together, along with fries and salad. Your expert guide will keep things interactive with trivia about the region and the Maori customs. Enjoy the local cuisine, stimulate your taste buds, and be a part of the Maori culture through this guided tour!
