Frozen Tickets

A masterpiece that begins with impactful monologues, Frozen has won awards for its excellent story. It is a tale of crime, sorrow, and forgiveness; a story which constantly re-examines human nature in every scene. Frozen is directed by British dramatist, Bryony Lavery. This is a solemn play that is bound to put you in a deeply contemplative state of mind.

    Why Watch Frozen

The cycle of hate is a very commonly explored theme in both cinema and drama. One heinous act forces a corresponding act of revenge, and the cycle of destruction continues until there is nothing left. There are few plays which depict this concept more elegantly than Frozen. If you are hungry for an exploration of the depths of the human psyche, Frozen is an excellent way to spend your evening.

As the play shifts from monologue to dialogue, the characters shift from a negative state of revenge and hate, to positive and benign compassion. This hugely entertaining and philosophical drama is a show you simply cannot miss.

    The Story

Set in modern England, Frozen follows the story of three people who find themselves entangled in the net of fate. A 10-year-old girl named Rhona is murdered by the notorious serial killer, Ralph. The young girl is nabbed on one sunny evening while she walks to her grandmother’s house. Nancy is understandably appalled and outraged. Agnetha, a psychiatrist from the United States, travels to England to study Ralph’s motivations and mental issues. Nancy, Agnetha, and Ralph find that their lives are gradually intertwining. The characters in the first few scenes are quite clearly distant and ‘frozen’. Forgiveness and forbearance slowly dawn on the three characters, and the play pleasantly blooms into the gorgeous climax and ending, bringing the characters out of their frozen state.
