What To Expect

This combo ticket gets you access to three of the most popular attractions on Phillip Island - the Penguin Parade, the Koala Conservation Centre and the idyllic Churchill Island Heritage Farm.

Penguin Parade

Arguably the most popular wildlife activity to experience when visiting Melbourne is the iconic Penguin Parade. This daily routine of Australia's Little Penguins takes place once the sun begins to set. These tickets give you entry to the Penguin Parade Stadium, a purpose-built attraction with arena-like seating. The use of red spectrum lighting along with careful positioning of the arena allows visitors to comfortably watch the penguins without disturbing them. Take your seat and watch the parade unfold in front of you - hundreds upon hundreds of Little Penguins returning to their burrows in the sand. Watch as penguins reunite with their mates and share kisses, make little dance moves and head to burrows for the night.

Koala Conservation Centre

The Koala Reserve on Phillip Island is a unique nature conservation center that aims to preserve the island's Koala population in a natural wetland area. Elevated boardwalks through the Eucalyptus trees provide visitors with an amazing vantage point, bringing you face-to-face with Koalas living in their wooden abodes. You can catch a glimpse of Koalas feeding and lazing, joeys venturing out of their mother’s pouch and learning to climb and much more at this unique reserve.

Churchill Island Heritage Farm

The Churchill Island Heritage Farm provides a glimpse into the lives of early Australian settlers and is the site of the first European agricultural pursuits in Victoria. Take a walk through the farm and see vintage cottages in landscaped gardens and lawns. Make your way to the coastline and enjoy stunning seascape views of Phillip Island and the Western Port. The farm also has a visitor center with an exhibition on the island's history, a gift shop and a café.

Know Before You Go

Important Information

  • Please note you must arrive at your pickup location at least 10 minutes prior to your allocated pickup time.
  • Child rates apply for ages 0 to 15 years of age inclusive. Due to the duration of the tour, we do not advise taking children under the age of 4. No refunds will be issued on the day of travel for failure to declare infants. No prams or strollers permitted.
  • We are able to provide an infant seat (0-3 years) or a child booster seat (4-8 years) free of charge. Please note we have only a limited number available each day and they must be pre-booked.

Luggage Restrictions

Only small carry-on bags allowed for 1-day tours.

Penguin Parade

The Penguin Parade Visitor Centre opens at 10 AM daily. Penguins arrive at sunset every evening. General Viewing ticket holders should plan to arrive at least 1 hour before penguin arrival time.

10:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily (6:00 PM in DST). You can visit anytime during open hours.

Churchill Island Heritage Farm

10:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily (6:00 PM in DST). You can visit anytime during open hours.

Getting There

Getting to Phillip Island from Melbourne

By Car: Take the Monash Freeway (M1) to the Cranbourne exit and turn into the South Gippsland Highway (M420). Follow this route to the Bass Highway (A420), through Grantville and Bass, then onto the Phillip Island Road (B420) to San Remo, over the bridge onto Phillip Island.

By Coach: V/Line runs daily coach services between Southern Cross Station in Melbourne and Cowes on Phillip Island, via Grantville, Corinella, Bass, San Remo and Newhaven.

By Ferry: The Western Port Passenger Ferry Service runs between Stony Point on the Mornington Peninsula, Tankerton on French Island and Cowes on Phillip Island. Take the V/Line to Stony Point on the mainland and take the ferry to Cowes on Phillip Island.

Traveling Between Attractions on Phillip Island

Phillip Island is large and walking from the Penguin Parade to the Churchill Farm will take you hours. The Cowes Line bus runs 6 times each day on weekdays, and 4 times on weekends between Cowes and Wonthaggi, via Anderson and San Remo along Phillip Island Road.
