History of the Lido Show

Made famous by the stunning/incredible bluebell girls, the Le Lido or Lido Cabaret is one of the most famous venues for cabaret in Paris. The first show under the Lido franchise opened in 1946. It was in 1948 that Mary Kelly, along with her troupe of Blue Bell girls came into the Lido revue and stayed there for the next 40 years. To this date, the Bluebell girls are a major part of any new show under the Lido's stewardship. The atmosphere, lights, and charm give this venue an added gloss, and the opening nights of their new shows are attended by the who's who of the celebrity world.

Paris Merveilles

Created and directed by the ultra-talented Franco Dragone, Paris Merveilles is the latest offering under the Lido cabaret franchise. Dragone when conceptualizing the show, aimed to create one that would satiate the eyes and soul.

Centered around a singer, Manon, this revue is a first of its kind in Lido history. Dragone incorporates stunning visual effects, extravagant costumes, best dancers from around the world, and exceptional performances into this over-the-top Cabaret experience.

Menu

Soirée Plume Starters

  • Prawns marinated in olive oil with beetroot and horseradish tartare
  • Fine cream of green lentils, pistachio panna cotta and smoked duck breast

Main Course

  • Pike and salmon mousseline topped with a tarragon crisp, wild mushroom and leek fondant, and lobster sauce
  • Farmhouse chicken supreme, foie gras jus and polenta with dried fruit and chestnuts

Dessert

  • "Guanaja" chocolate square and tonka bean cream
  • Coffee, mascarpone and walnut dessert cake

Soirée Etoile Starters

  • Flaked crab with lemon zest and crispy vegetable tabbouleh
  • Crayfish fricassee and chicken oyster, served with ravioles de Royans

Main Course

  • Duckling fillet with honey and timut pepper sauce, salsify in jus and stuffed shallot
  • Veal with ginger confit and caramelised chicory tart
  • Scallops with seaweed jus and parsnip and pumpkin mousseline

Dessert

  • Meringue with whipped cream and chocolate sauce
  • Coconut Vacherin cake with winter fruit coulis
  • Pear and almond cake, apricot coulis

Drinks

  • 1/2 bottle of champagne
  • Brut 1er cru*

Soiree Triomphe

Appetizer: Lightly seared scallops and truffle-infused parsnip royale.

Starters

  • Pan-fried duck foie gras, pot-au-feu vegetables and tapioca
  • Lobster medallion, shellfish and aniseed coulis, pomelo and avocado supreme

Main Course

  • Beef fillet with cognac, stuffed gougères, and potato and truffle cappuccino
  • Sea bass with shellfish and coriander jus, vegetables in puff pastry

  • Passion fruit Bundt cake
  • Chocolate truffle
