Bells and Spells Tickets

The production employs ghosty and surreal visuals with props to create a truly captivating experience. It is a physical theatre that beautifully mingles the eerie with the mystical. Bells and Spells is directed by the internationally renowned Victoria Thierrée Chaplin, mother of the lead actress. The entire show is performed with barely any speech, relying solely on the use of puppetry, illusions, dance and improvised props to tell a riveting story!

The Story

Bells and Spells follows the tale of a light-fingered kleptomaniac who is hopelessly incurable. For Thierrée, stealing itself is an art that has taken years to perfect. She pockets silverware from her lover’s table during their dance and swipes exhibits from museums. Unfortunately, she is at the mercy of the objects she steals when they suddenly come to life. Coat hangers walk around the stage, furniture items slip and slide all over the place and dresses come to life. A surreal spectacle from start to finish, Bells and Spells is a show like no other!
