STORY

Set in the early 1970’s, this is the story of a group of men who make their humble living by driving unlicensed cabs (also known as 'jitneys'). What happens when Eddie, an unemployed truck driver, gets back together with his ex-wife Ani post her devastating accident? Will there be consequences when John, a brilliant and witty doctoral student, takes on a harried Jess, a harried caregiver?

As their lives intersect, Majok’s play delves into the chasm between abundance and need and explores the space where bodies — abled and disabled — meet each other.
